Cybersecurity Awareness Month Campaign: Not if, but when

For Cybersecurity Awareness month, my team was tasked with creating a campaign to cross sell our backup and antivirus solutions for our consumer & business segments, while teaching them how to stay safe from cyber threats. This was accompanied with a 40% off promotion.

We came up with a campaign called “Not if, but when.” This idea allowed a link between the two products, exemplifying the different threats and mistakes users can encounter while online, and how we can eliminate these setbacks. My team worked closely with our copywriters to roll out website takeovers, display ads, email banners, social images, and blog posts to get the word out.

The key messaging for this campaign was:

“We’re getting the word out and teaching people how to stay safe from cyber threats. You’ve taken the first step by choosing Webroot to protect you from cyber threats. But your cyber resilience strategy shouldn’t stop at data security. Your security posture is only complete when you combine your existing security with a robust backup plan - Carbonite.”
